another fabulous friday and one that is almost over (sadly)… i hope you have all had a wonderful week! and i have been a terrible blogger this week – not a post since last friday, i must apologise, but uni life has been hectic.. just 8 weeks to go before uni is over – i can already taste the freedom and much more regular blogging! i cannot wait, yay!
these are two photos i had intended to post during the week, and although they are not quite in line with fabulous friday guidelines, i still wanted to share them! the first is of the brisbane river, just after our first big thunderstorm of the spring/summer..
and this is a pic of 8 new magnets for the fridge.. this great website, stickygram, let’s you turn your instagram photos (an app available on iphones and android phones) into magnets, $14.99 for 9 magnets, no shipping costs – even better! this is a series that i like to call ‘chronicles of the autumn tree’ (the beloved tree is in our front yard).. i have however been photographing our autumn tree as it is coming back to life with spring, so perhaps ‘chronicles of our tree’ is better, i don’t know if it has as good a ring to it?! and check out these 13 groovy things you can create (via online companies) with your instagram photos…
ok and now back to business – fabulous friday!
two weddings today.. the first comes all the way from valencia, spain – thanks mum for the photographs! love is wonderful the world over, and i just love weddings and love! look at the anticipation on the bride’s face as she is about to make her way down the aisle to her groom, her veil tipped with lace is gorgeous and oh so long (long veils seem to have an old world elegance about them), the flower girl is beyond cute (and lace, lace everywhere), and check out the lady taking a photo of the car – weddings are irresistible and have a way of sparking everyone’s curiosity and interest!
and the second – one from allentown, new jersey, on style me pretty… i think my favourite part of this wedding is the bride’s exquisite monique lhuillier dress – lace, and a sheer top panel which exudes delicate grace! [photograph by robert & kathleen photographers]
and the top part of the dress reminds me of the one julia roberts’ character, maggie, tries on for richard gere in the film, runaway bride…
food – a restaurant we are going to try tomorrow (recommended by my sister), swamp dog, located in south brisbane… it is supposed to have fabulous fish and chips, and we are going to take our takeaway up to the kangaroo point cliffs to eat while looking over brisbane city and reminiscing about our wedding day and location photographs!
travel… today i am dreaming about visiting the vineyards of hunter valley, and would just love to stay in one of these peppers resorts! they have a luxurious but country and homely feel about them..
what is everyone doing over the weekend? wonderful things? getting married? travelling? eating delicious food? all of the above?! happy friday x
